Over the past few years, students from the Taiwan-based China Medical University have been invited to be goodwill ambassadors on National Day. This year is no exception.
To qualify to be a goodwill ambassador on National Day, which is October 10, each of the 25 medical school students has received 120 hours of training in international etiquette.
They are responsible to serve foreign dignitaries, so excellent language skills are a must. This student says “Good morning” in Thai, Hindi, Spanish and French.
As medical school students, in addition to First Aid training, they have also been trained in performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a student said they will wear face masks on National Day to protect themselves and those around them.
