Performers of all ages showed off Taiwan’s free spirit in their performances on National Day. TBC, aka The Best Crew, showcased their street dancing moves as they aspire to go to the Paris 2024 Olympics which will host Breaking for the first time as an Olympic sport. Now this boy can headspin.
There were 130 Gymnasts from Tainan, Taoyuan and New Taipei that showed their graceful moves. The gymnasts range from first grade students to graduate students. Many of them are aspiring Olympic athletes too.
Then we have WE R Demonstration Team – the first group in Taiwan to use a combination of taekwondo, acrobatics and street dance in their performances
One of the biggest highlights of the performances was by ShenAi Indigenous kids – their rendition of Hand in Hand, a single released in 2003 during the SARS epidemic, added a beautiful indiginous touch the the non-profit single that embraced the spirit of unity in Taiwan as it faces challenges.
Taiwan’s Olympic heroes also greeted fans as they paraded in TeamTaiwan jeeps. National Day was a beautiful day to celebrate Taiwan’s free and innovative spirit.
